Faquetigue Courir de Mardi Gras

As is obvious from the photos, many musicians take part in this traditional run. Near the end of the courir (see bottom row of photos), the Mardi Gras visit the cemetery where Dennis McGee is buried. Linzay Young and Joel Savoy are shown playing a twin-fiddle tribute to a musician who was a key figure in the preservation of musical traditions from the distant past and whose legacy lives on in the music performed by many of the Mardi Gras assembled around his grave.
